Transformational Teaching is an amalgamation of 4 strands – Academic Achievement, Pathways to Opportunities, Long term traits and Mindsets, Student Interest and Aspirations.
It is all these 4 strands together that foster a holistic approach to education. InspirED will expose participants to each of these strands through its workshops and sessions.
- Pathways to Opportunities: To set our students up for success in the long run, they need to be exposed to all the different opportunities available to them and also be equipped to maximized them. The sessions in this strand will consider factors that open students to more opportunities, enable them to discover opportunities, and equip students to take advantage of them.
- Academic Achievement: Students from all backgrounds can be and should be pushed to achieve at their maximum potential. Regardless of what section of society they are from, these sessions will expose participants to strategies that will enable them to push students performance to its maximum.
- Values and Mindsets: Holistic education goes beyond achieving academically to being well developed individuals. Educators in these sessions will share the importance of and the ways to develop in students core values and mindsets that will develop them and help them realize their maximum potential both in and beyond schools.
- Student Interests and Aspirations: Understanding that students have varying interests and aspirations, these sessions will consider how to motivate students and help them shape their goals given their unique interests, abilities, and ambitions.
Participants can also engage with student and teacher work that brings these four strands to life. They can interact with and participate in conversations and discussion with teachers who have brought about transformational change in their students lives and hear about how these 4 strands of transformational teaching play out in a classroom.
